“As a person myself that has gone through a lot of struggles in life, I try to look for God and keep myself busy in my own world so I don't give up so easily when more life issues happen, but I never paid so much close attention to ALL the gifts that God has put in front of us to see his love and mercy towards me, his beloved child.
Susan made me realize how lucky, loved and blessed I am by reading her book. Most of the time we are so caught up on our routines in life that we don't appreciate all the good things because we take them for granted like AIR for example. We're breathing, but we forget it is a special gift we have, and so on.
After reading the book I found a few favorite sentences, but what I kept thinking about was this one: "He has the best open door policy" I will lean towards God more now because I see all we have is a life full of gifts, blessings and surprises that God still wants us to live.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm glad I got a copy and a chance to connect more with my Lord.

With what she wrote and scriptures, that will catch your eye with different fonts, you realize how we should be thankful for shadows. I have thought of some of her Thankful Thursdays, like seashells, but others revealed to me how much more we should be grateful to God. Susan's writing captures your attention, and caused me to underline and sometimes double star. She asks questions where I write my answer. I also like how Susan has left room on the pages, to write. For me writing notes and all help me to sink things in. I am engaging with the author, and making sure I chew on the writing that I need to learn and do. Susan makes you think and evaluate your life.
